- Dali
Basu is an Indian Classical dancer in the Odissi style. Her dance
speaks volumes of a talented artist's unwavering love for the art
form, and of her years of rigorous training for perfection.
- Her
audience is intrigued by the fluidity with which she enlivens the
Odissi movements, originating over two thousand years ago and since
then ritualistically adhered to.
- A
style so pure, repertoires so rehearsed come to life in Dali's dance
as a spontaneous flow of beautiful, graceful, movements.
- Added
to this, her superb 'Abhinaya' or facial expressions, peaks one's
interest in the intriguing mythological tales of the great
Indianepics, such as the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
- In Pursuit of the history of Odissi, she adds an authentic flavour to her dance.
